SideStep.com is a handy airfare and travel website. Works fine in IE but won't
load in Firefox. I contacted site and was told it reqires ActiveX to load so
not compatible with Mozilla.
Have encountered a few other sites that won't load in Firefox, but was easier
to go back to IE for those than have to contact each offending site.
Is there a fix for the above?
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Just try to log on to: http://www.sidestep.com/ref/mail/travelfinds_web.html

If the site uses ActiveX, then this is a Tech Evang bug and not something to fix in Firefox. Looking quickly, I could not see where they used ActiveX. Can you explain clearly what does not work? The page itself seems to display fine.
Summary: This site will not load in Firefox. → sidestep.com -

BUT when launched in IE, page includes interactive window on left for entering travel data to find flights. That section does not show up with Mozilla. If you have IE still on your computer, check it out. Don't know, though, if it will work without initial software download that specifically sets up only with IE. When you load SideStep in Firefox, if you click on "SideStep Toolbar" on main page, you'll see info on necessary download. Thanx again!

I believe this is a toolbar that will only work on IE. This is not really a Firefox issue, but rather a site issue.
