273198 - Hang if I have a network folder in the Bookmarks toolbar when not on network

I have added networked folders to the Bookmarks toolbar.  This works great when
I'm behind my companies Firewall.  But, when I don't have access to these
network folders (i.e.  when i'm at home without VPN access), FireFox will hang
for about 1 minute when it is first opened.  Windows XP reports FireFox as "Not
Responding."  After a minute or so, FireFox un-freezes and I can begin browsing
the web.  

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.  Right-click on the Bookmarks toolbar and select "New Bookmark"
2.  Specify the location as a networked folder (i.e.  file://///infinity\myfolder)
3.  Move your computer outside the firewall so you can't access the networked folder
4.  Open FireFox

Actual Results:  
Firefox hanged for about 1 full minute

Expected Results:  
1) The Bookmarks toolbar should have recognized that i can't find the networked
folder and loaded the toolbar

OR

2)  Simply load the toolbar without trying to load the folders contents

This same scenario occurs everytime I click on the Bookmarks menu item because
it also has networked folders linked.  FireFox hangs for a minute

When opening a bookmarks folder (firefox 1.5.0.1),
with a "file://///machine/mydir1/mydir2/file.html"
where 'machine' is a non-reachable network computer (power down),
I have a non-responding program. When closing Firefox, I get a crash.
