When trying to organize emails manually it is necessary to right-click on
selected messages and use "Move To ->".  Drag and drop between folders does not
work.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new folder
2. Select a message in the inbox
3. Try to drag the message to the new folder.

Actual Results:  
Nothing.  The mouse pointer does not change shape (to show dragging is
occurring) and messages are not moved.

Expected Results:  
Messages should be moved to the new folder

Which build of Thunderbird exhibits this problem?

What sort of account has the new folder been created under -- POP, IMAP, Local 
Folders?  Is it a top-level folder or a subfolder?

I've had this problem with the 2/26 and 2/27 nightly builds.  The application
crashes immediately after dragging anything from my IMAP inbox over to another
IMAP folder.  I'm seeing it on WinXP w/SP2

Andrew Ramage, feel free to reopen if you're still seeing the symptom with 
*current* builds (e.g. 1.5b1 or a trunk nightly), but provide a response to 
comment 1.
