Guess the reasons are obvious. It is not about layout, its about not losing information about original subject and recipents. I'd suggest basically adding user_pref("mailnews.reply_header_type", 4); with more options about how to compose the reply header. Also I think that the reply-header should be more "integrated" with the orignial message, i.e. more like what Outlook does. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
