273415 - "start firefox" or "exit" button don't appear when starting without a profile or without profiles.ini after creating a new profile

using firefox 1.0 on win2000.

1) download and unzip a .zip copy of firefox (not the binary installer build).
2) start firefox (for the first time) in the profile manager.  there is no
default profile created this way.
3) create a new profile.
4) after completing the new profile setup, you return to the main profile
manager dialog.  the "start firefox" or "exit" buttons are missing.
5) you can regenerate this problem by deleting the "profiles.ini" file in the
firefox application data folder and restarting firefox in the profile manager.

this appears to be a firefox profile manager problem only - this does not occur
with the suite (at least with moz 1.8a5).  this does not occur if you start
firefox initially without going to the profile manager, because firefox
automatically creates a default profile (or asks to import one).  this does not
occur if you've previously created a profile (or if the default profile was
created previously) and you delete it and create a new profile, since there's
already a profiles.ini file created.

the workaround for this bug is incredibly simple - to start firefox, just
double-click on the newly created profile, and to exit just use the "x" button
in the top right corner.  still, it is a bug.

i am currently using an optimized "community edition" build of firefox 1.0, and
a little bit of the "start firefox" and "exit" buttons do appear, but they are
cut off, and there isn't any way to resize the profile manager window.  it would
seem that the profile manager window just isn't displayed big enough to show the
two buttons after a new profile is created.

This has the same root cause as bug 248648, and roc fixed it recently.
