Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Firefox. 2. Click on the Download button (to the right of the Customize… button). Actual Results: User is taken to Netscape download site: http://channels.netscape.com/ns/browsers/download.jsp Expected Results: User should be taken to the Firefox download site: http://www.mozilla.org/ P.S. Mozilla 1.8a5 for Windows 2000 does the same thing.

What download/customize button are you referring to?

You sound like you're using a Netscape 7.x profile with Mozilla, which is a no-no. Profiles are not to be shared. Try a clean FF profile and see if the problem persists.

NS has never even been installed on this computer, and I have never even fooled around with profiles. Your statement is "invalid". If profiles are the problem, then FF is picking them up from Mozilla 1.8a5 (which has the same problem and is also installed and which also could not have gotten the problem from NS since I have never used in on this computer). When I installed FF, I did import bookmarks, addresses, etc., from Mozilla 1.8a5. If FF is automatically sharing profiles up from Mozilla, then this will cause a problem for users that needs to be addressed. I decline to "Try a clean FF profile".
