See the attachment for proposed documentation. It needs a technical review and probably some editing before public consumption. A question for documentation is where to put it. I have no idea.

Jason, thank you very much for documenting the hash API. We should convert it into HTML and publish it on our web site on www.mozilla.org. But you should also add these as comments to sechash.h.
