If you are using a PowerPC computer and go to a web site such as the url above,
and install the missing plugin it won't work because it's only for x86. It does
not work on PPC.
Macromedia Flash is in fact not available for Linux PowerPC but only Mac OS X.
Plugin Finder should take the platform into consideration and not just the OS.
Sorry if this is a duplicate. I couldn't find one.

(Debian package 1.0-4)

Changing hardware and OS to all.
OS: Linux → All
Hardware: Macintosh → All
Summary: Plugin Finder installs x86 plugins on PPC hardware → Plugin Finder should check platform and not just OS

PFS already should be doing this. In any case, bug 839206 and others take care of this client-side, and PFS will be retired.
