Mail displayed in some folders doesn't include all files in directory. I have
been using Mozilla Mail with my Merak Mail Server for literally years. I use
IMAP access. Version 1.7.3 doesn't display all email in some folders (and
reload is greyed out view menu), yet my laptop version 1.3.1 shows all the email
in all the folders. This is a receint developement I whish I knew what changed.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Click on (to display) mail folder
2.
3.

Actual Results:
receint additions to the folder not displayed (contents not refreshed)

Expected Results:
The mail client doesn't even display mail dropped in to folder (yet the file
exists on the mail servers disk) and other computers can see the mail.

I wish there was a way to force the mail client to "refresh" a folder's
contents. I would have thought View/Reload would have been the way but Reload
is greyed out. . . Is there a work around?
In my attempts to troubleshoot this problem, I set up Outlook to see what
Outlook would do on this IMAP account. Outlook reports "UID" errors from my
mail server. It would be nice if Mozilla / FireFox would report errors so my
troubleshooting could go a bit smoother.
can you generate an imap protocol log of a session where it fails to display a
message by following these instructions and attach it or e-mail it to me, after
xxx'ing out any sensitive info? thx.
The "main" problem is with the mail server. My server has a "flags.dat" file
that can get messy. Sometimes it can be re-built and sometimes it goes stupid.
I don't believe that the problem is in Mozilla though It would have been nice
if I had a "refresh folder" or "reload headers" command somewhere, in some menu.
 Sorry for the false alarm.
