Details

Some extentions, such as LiveHTTPHeaders 0.10, could not be installed after
12/01 trunk build.(Win/2K, ZIP build)
Extention could be installed on 11/30 build or before.

On 12/01 build, installer did nothing, and Mozilla didn't terminate even after
appilication window close.
Killing of Mozilla process by Taks Manager was required to terminate Mozilla.
On 12/02 build and 12/07 build, installer of extention asked whether install or
not, but install process was not initiated.
Mozilla terminated normaly when application window is closed, even if problem in
intallation of extention existesd.
This indicate some changes on 12/01 build and later builds.

Extentions installed on 11/30 build or before are usable on all of 12/01 build,
12/02 build and 12/07 build.
So this is problem on installtion of extention only.

Is this a result of design change of Mozilla?
Should installer of extentions be rewritten?
This looks like an Duplicate to Bug 272764

It was not really an intended Design-Change of Mozilla. After the Aviary-Landing
on Trunk in 2004-12-01 for Bug 242529 the *.xpi install was still regressed and
broken.

Reporter, would you be so nice to verify if this one is an Dupe?
(In reply to comment #1)
Thanks for pointing. This is aparanltly DUP of Bug 272764.
I should have searched with keyword of "xpi"...
