User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8a5) Gecko/20041122
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8a5) Gecko/20041122

This looks like a time-limit triggered problem. I have been using the Mozilla
build provided with Slackware 10.0. After several weeks of faultless operation,
the above noted behavior takes over. Reinstalling Mozilla (and plugins) does not
help. Quick (!!) fix was a complete reinstall of Slackware on a new partition.
This is not a satisfactory solution, but removal of all Mozilla/Netscape
components and directories did NOT solve the probelm. This problem has repeated
3 times now since August/September time-frame.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install Mozilla.
2.Wait a few weeks
3.

Actual Results:
After several weeks of faultless operation, navigation behaved eratically and I
was no longer able to reply to e-mails or process downloads properly. Since
downloading doesn't behave correctly, I had to use other means to download a
newer version of Mozilla.

Expected Results:
Suggested getting a newer version of Mozilla and allowing proper download. (I
hate Microsoft...)

I was unable to isolate a root cause.

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
