if one edits the search plugin file google.src it will work for some time. then
sometime later for unknown reasons the file is overwritten with the "default"
contents that were delivered with the installation package.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. exit mozilla
2. edit ...\searchplugins\google.src, say to increase the number of hits
displayed per page.
3. start mozilla and check to see that the changes to the plugin work.
4. sometime later after numerous uses the original google.src file contents will
overwrite one's changes and the file properties will be updated.

Actual Results:
sometime later after numerous uses the original google.src file contents will
overwrite one's changes and the file properties will be updated.

Expected Results:
leave the google.src file alone.
This is (most probably) because of the automatic update system for search
plugins. See https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=284456#c2 .

If so, this should be resolved invalid.
