It is boring to maintain bookmarks on several machines. How about storing them
somewhere online and letting firefox synchronize the local and online bookmarks?
 I bet many people would like to pay some money for this feature.

This is why have extensions. This is hardly a "mainstream" feature, and this is
almost definitely WONTFIX.
