when installing xine or xmule in fedora core 3 libcurl.so.2 is not found broken
package in apt get and in synaptic shows dependency problems

appears to be numerous problems on the web when people try to make symbolic
links from libcurl.so.2 to libcurl.so.3 and other remedies including new
libraries and the like programs in fedora core 3 , if they are dependent on
libcurl.so.2, will not install, whether it's an rpm or tar.gz..

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.install the program xmule or xine
2.see the error
3.get frustrated that fedora core 3 can't work with libcurl.so.2 and
libcurl.so.3 for progs 

Actual Results:  
program would not install

Expected Results:  
it ought to have installed...
