User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; nb-NO; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041108 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; nb-NO; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041108 Firefox/1.0 In flash-heavy pages like http://www.digi.no/ taskmanager reports that firefox consumes around 50% CPU at all times. Switching to another tab or window makes it drop to 0, so I guess this really is a problem in Flash/Shockwave. Please confirm whether its Firefox or Flash. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Firefox 2. Open a flash-heavy site like http://www.digi.no/ 3. Watch the task manager Actual Results: Firefox consumes from 40% to 60% of CPU. When navigating to another tab or window, CPU drops to around 2 to 5%. It seems its the rendering of the flashelemnts that eats CPU. Expected Results: Ultimately there should be just a slight rais in CPU on Flash-pages, or, at lease an option to turn off flash/shockwave for spesific sites, or turn it ON for specific sites.
