User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040115 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040115 I've been trying to import my japanese Netscape 4.x bookmarks file, which is encoded in sjis, to Mozilla and Firefox under a ja_JP.UTF8 locale, but although the meta tags are changed from japanese sjis to UTF-8, characters are not converted, so I end up with garbled text. Mozilla under Japanese Windows95 (and maybe newer Windows versions too) converts the same file just fine. (So I can import that converted file, but there might be people that have completely swept Windows away out there, so I am reporting the bug ;) I have tried to convert the file with gedit and SC Unipad, but characters like "~" in addresses also get converted, so it shall really be done by Mozilla, and address should be kept intact, like the Windows version of Mozilla does. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Import bookmarks from file Actual Results: Garbled characters in bookmark items.
