folder – and someone said they believed the bug had been RESOLVED, but NOT
QUITE.  I have a problem which is similar, but not exactly the same.  I
downloaded Firebox and Thunderbird SEPARATELY some months ago.  I assumed that
as such they were stored separately.  Recently I read on Yahoo that Mozilla had
been launched as a ready product 1.0, so yesterday, I upgraded Mozilla, without
any intention of upgrading or changing Thunderbird.  The instructions for the
download say quite clearly to delete the old Mozilla before downloading the new
one, but there is STILL NO WARNING that this will delete Thunderbird.  I lost my
mails and all my addresses.  Luckily, most of them were still stored on IE.

I think you're experiencing some confusion between Mozilla (the application
suite containing both a browser and a mail client) and the Firefox/Thunderbird
products (a stand-alone browser and mail client).

If you've been using Firefox/Thunderbird, then your email should still be
visible when you use Thunderbird. Mozilla is a separate product and doesn't
access the Thunderbird profile (which holds your email).
(Firefox and Thunderbird are the products which have recently reached 1.0 -
Mozilla is on the way to version 1.8, as you can see from the user agent string
that is the first line of your bug report.)

Please start Thunderbird, not Mozilla (re-install Thunderbird if necessary) and
check that your email is still visible. If so, please resolve this bug as invalid.

Alternatively, if you prefer to use the complete Mozilla suite, you can move
your email from its profile location:
http://www.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird/releases/#profilefolder to the mail
folder in the Mozilla profile:
http://www.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla1.7/installation.html#files_profiles
You should not delete your TB profile.
