Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20041210

Response to cursor, text input and resizing Mozilla panes is very slow as if the
Windows screen driver is not being used but a special method of I/O directly
from Mozilla.

PC is a Toshiba Tecra M1, with docking station, DVI interface to a Samsung 19"
monitor. However, response is not much better when using the laptop on its own.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Do any resize of Mozilla panes, delete characters in full screen mode, move
cursor etc.
2.Any of these take ages to respond.
3.

Actual Results:
Very slow activity in offline or online writing of emails and general response
from Mozilla - nothing to do with connectivity.

Expected Results:
I expect Mozilla to respond at the same speed as other Window applications.

1. There was similar sluggishness from ZoneAlarm but this is cured in the later
releases.
2. Similar problems with the keyboard activity not responding like normal
Windows applications seems to have been fixed in this release which makes me
wonder if Mozilla has its own I/O routines.

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a

(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
