User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20041210 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20041210 For people with poor sight [or large screens] its not possible to increase the default Zoom level permantently for: a) Composition of emails b) Viewing of emails c) Preview of emails d) Browsing sites There are no Windows settings that control the size of the email preview pane. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Try composing an email [or viewing or previewing an email] on a screen with a high resolution [1600 or 1900]. 2. In order to be able to read the characters one has to increase the size of the font being used to write the email. 3. The user who receives the email on a normal sized screen sees giant characters. Actual Results: Difficult to get the font sizes right as it is not displayed in the HTML window - [Netscape 4.x had a font size rather than larger/smaller.] As a result the user has no immediate idea of the font size being used for writing the email and how it will appear at the other end. Expected Results: By setting a default zoom percentage for Mozilla if should be possible to size characters in all modes that are readable by people with poor sight or on different sized screens.

*** Bug 274308 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
This is a duplicate of several bugs: bug 108391 for remembering the zoom and bug 177510 for having zoom in the composer window. (Note the workaround for compose mentioned in bug 177510 comment 7.) Marking as a duplicate of the latter bug. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 177510 ***
