User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 I've had this with Mozilla 8.0, upgraded to 1.0 and it's still happening! After I scroll down the page, the gifs are all messed up - unreadable. I have to highlight with left mouse button clicked or minimise then maximise Firefox to correct it, but when I scroll it happens again. It makes a page almost unviewable. I have 2 jpegs of the browser in action with one showing what happens and the other the page as it should be. Alt+PrintScreen captured it perfectly. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Load the page with gifs, especially University pages with equations etc. 2.Scroll Down 3.You should see it Actual Results: As described above. Expected Results: It should have shown the gifs as they were designed to be shown. Can I send the 2 jpegs for comparison so you can see? Is there an address I can send them to?
This may be a problem related to the thumbnail radar image (jpg) that shows horizontal whitelines across the image if it is scrolled off screen and then back. Passing the mouse cursor over the thumbnail restores the image. http://www.crh.noaa.gov/forecasts/VAZ053.php?warncounty=VAC600&city=Herndon Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win95; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20041212 Firefox/1.0+
Use the "Create a New Attachment" above to add the examples... I cannot confirm this problem with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20041209 Firefox/1.0+.
Both pages WFM in Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 as well. I remember from my Win98/Win95 days, though, that the answer to problems of that sort, in any browser, was always "update your display drivers" (which did often work, when they were still being updated).
-> Core:GFX 32 (This doesn't look you have problems with saving files and because this happens also in Mozilla this is core) This looks like a graphic card driver problem.

Nope, not a graphic card problem, in my case. I've narrowed it down to a prob with NOAA and the ZIP code (as in US Post Office). ZIP 94041 works great... http://www.crh.noaa.gov/forecasts/CAZ008.php?warncounty=CAC085&city=Mountain+View ...and 20111 don't... http://www.crh.noaa.gov/forecasts/VAZ054.php?warncounty=VAC013&city=Arlington I'll contact NOAA. I've checked Internet Explorer just to be sure and IE does not have this problem. I might try to update drivers but the video card is old and there may not be new drivers available.
