It should be possible to enable JavaScript, Java and the various plugins on a site-by-site basis. This could be handled similar to the cookie handling: There could be three settings: "Always on", "Always off" and "Ask me first" (with an option to remeber the decision) for each of the three (and maybe a button for quick access in the status bar. An additional nice-to-have would to have an exclusion list for sites where Scripting is never allowed regardless of settings and a known-good list where Scripting is always allowed regardless of settings). This feature would somewhat improve security since you could enable the scripting and plugins only for known sites and disable them for all others. You could also disable JavaScript and plugins like Flash for sites which use JavaScript-based or Flash-based ads or other features in an annoying way.

(In reply to comment #0) Yes, you should be able to disable java all togeather and only enable it for certain domains, ips and subnets.
