Hey,
I just installed Thunderbird 1.0 (20041206) on a Windows 2000 prof., imported about 3000 Outlook
Express mails, no problems. When I started Thunderbird afterwards, the statusline said "Generating
Inbox Index-File" (or something like that.. I havn't got the exact english message), no problem,
everything worked as it should... then I exited TB, started it again and the statusline said "Generating
Inbox Index-File" again... that happens everytime.

Reproduceable: always

Steps:
1. Import mail from Outlook Express
2. Open the "Inbox" folder
3. Quit TB
4. Open it again and click "Inbox"
-> Generating Indexfile

What I expected:
Indexfile is being saved, not regenerated every time
If file for mail folder is modified by someone and timestamp is changed, ".msf"
will be recreated.
What is your anti-virus software settings?
Check your settings for "*.msf" file(control file) and file with no
extention(Unix Mbox format mail data file) under your Mail directry(see "Local
Folders" of "Server Settings" of account settings).
And check timestamp of "Inbox" file and "Inbox.msf" file just after shutdown and
just before restart.

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
