274499 - Firefox 2004-12-13 nightly won't start

The 2004-12-13 doesn't start up. Neither the "Start Mozilla Firefox now" option
in the Installer window, nor clicking the Firefox icon in the Start menu seem to
do anything: the browser doesn't bring up, and no message window pop up either;
also, Firefox doesn't even appear inside the Task Manager "Processes" tab.

Steps to replicate:
1. Download firefox-1.0+.en-US.win32.installer.exe (2004-12-13 nightly build)
2. Install over fresh directory
3. Check "Start Mozilla Now", or launch from the Start menu
4. Nothing happens

Expected (correct) behavior:
Firefox starts

OS: Windows XP Home SP2 (all available patches installed, at least in the
opinion of Windows Update)

BTW, I reverted to Firefox 1.0 final (again, over a fresh directory) and it
works just as smoothly as it did before...
