i think that firefox and thunderbird are incompatible - when i click on a link 
in thunderbird, it doesn't know whether to open the page in firefox or 
thunderbird - so gets confused and crashes - i've got both browsers on my 
computer but different software opens different ones. sometimes i just can't 
delete e-mails at all because it has hung. The only way to fix it is to close 
it suddenly and then open it again. but your e-mail software is too slow to 
handle the e-mails from a busy office account - it is much faster to go 
through e-mails on an online interface eg hotmail. i have the e-mail files 
hosted on a remote server for backup purposes rather than on my computer but 
all the same it is **** that i can get e-mails faster from seattle or 
something than an e-mail server 5 metres away. can't wait for the next version
