I spent time entering what became Bug #274623 with the intention of pointing out
several problems encountered with using Venkman with various versions of Firefox.

So far, the replies I have been getting have been unnecessarily rude, based
largely on ignorance of the problems I have been trying to point out, and
indicative of the kind of sloppy unprofessionalism that I thought had been
eliminated from the Open Source Movement.

I have been a Software Engineer for a long time. I have provided software for
many large companies and organizations, I have refactored and provided plenty of
Open Source software, and I have dealt with software products of all types. It
has been my experience that the kind of behavior I have seen here is usually the
last refuge of incompetents who are incapable of comprehending what it takes to
make quality software. You cannot do it well, you cannot do it right, you don't
know what you are doing, so you act like rude, ignorant children.

Not a problem. It is clear that Venkman is not a Javascript debugger worthy of
use. If you people cannot properly handle bug reports and problems, then you
cannot put out software that is worthy of use. Consequently, I see no reason to
try and help you by pointing out its problems anymore. As far as I am concerned,
this "product" of yours is dead.

I have filed a number of other bug reports. Feel free to close them. I am
leaving this as a bug report because while it is not a bug in Venkman itself, it
is certainly a "bug" in your development/quality process.

You will not hear from me in this system again. I expect more pathetic attempts
at insults; be advised that my email filters are very good and I won't be
reading them.

What I find really pathetic about this is: you people will likely be *glad* that
you won't be hearing from me again.

That is the most amusing thing about this business. And at the same time, it is
the most sad...

I, for one, am thrilled to know you won't be back.  Maybe you need to check the
rudeness of your first bug report.  You only got what you gave.

The people wokring on Venkman do the little that they do because they enjoy
working on bits of software, not because they enjoy dealing with the likes of
you.  In addition to that, everyone working on it is doing so in their
increasingly spare time, so piss off and Merry Christmas.
