The Mozilla Thunderbird QuickSearchBar rocks, even more with IMAP.

Could it be possible to add the *Message-ID* as new a search criterion, or more
generally to have the ability to customise the QuickSearchBar and use it with
*arbitrary search criteria*?

Also, it could be great to have the ability to search for *IMAP keywords* (user
defined flags) just by writting their name in the QuickSearchBar ! O:-)

(The mail view is useful but doesn't serve that purpose and there is not enough
labels https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114656).

I agree with that. But don't forget virtual folders !

I would like to be able to search messages by MESSAGE-ID in virtual folders too.

highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
