Currently we have two different sets of instructions on how to upgrade using CVS, one in the FAQ and one in the Administration Chapter. These should both be integrated into one... preferably by fixing up the seciton that live in the admin chapter. Mentioned in bug 267873 comment 12.
As it turns out, I'm almost completely re-writing the Upgrating section in bug 256654, and it (now) contains all the information found in this FAQ entry. When that bug lands I'll remove the FAQ entry, which will clear this one off.
