Details

I click on the link to install the java plugin, Firefox pop's up a bar saying
it's blocked this site from installing software. I go into options, add the site
which adds http://cgi.netscape.com. The bar goes away, but if I click on the
link again it pop's up the exact same bar. No matter what I do it will not let
me install the plugin.

you don't want to use the netscape.com pfs, as AOL hasn't updated it in years. 
Just got to java.com.
