The answer to question "How do I start the Profile Manager?"
refers to "Start > All Programs > Mozilla Firefox > Profile Manager" , but that
item does no exist in the menu. ( at least on my system : win2000pro , FF 1.0 )
edited from http://wangrepublic.org/mozilla_faq_beta/official/faq/profile#newprofile

You may set up new profiles from the Profile Manager:
* On Windows, open the Start menu and choose Run. Enter "command". Navigate to
the Firefox application directory and execute the "firefox.exe -profilemanager"
command. For example, enter the following commands:
  cd \
  cd "program files"
  cd "mozilla firefox"
  firefox.exe -profilemanager
  exit

* On Mac OS X, hold down the Option key and double click the Mozilla icon.

* On Linux or Unix, open a shell prompt, cd to the Mozilla program directory and
enter mozilla -profilemanager

Profile feature is hidden from users. Maybe we should move this from
http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/faq to
www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/profile
