User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20041215 Firefox/1.0+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20041215 Firefox/1.0+ Open a new tab, go to http://www.cnn.com/money/2004/12/14/technology/personaltech/google_books/index.htm wait for the page to fully load and close the tab. After that, all controls seem active, but the main screen is gray, and if you had more than one tab open, the tab bar is locked. The only way i found to "reactivate" the tab bar (besides restarting the browser) was opening a new tab. The problem doesn't affect you if you open the link and close the tab without seeing it's content. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open a new tab 2.go to http://www.cnn.com/money/2004/12/14/technology/personaltech/google_books/index.htm 3. wait for the page to fully load and close the tab. Actual Results: tabs get locked. Expected Results: go to the previous tab and not lock the tab bar i guess :) Olive found that it could be related to a dll called This was discussed in the forums. I'm also seeing this with the latest trunk Mozilla build. I can't see the bug, using: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20041208 Firefox/1.0+ I can see the bug, using: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20041209 Firefox/1.0+ Bonsai link: http://bonsai.mozilla.org/cvsquery.cgi?treeid=default&module=all&branch=HEAD&branchtype=match&dir=&file=&filetype=match&who=&whotype=match&sortby=Date&hours=2&date=explicit&mindate=2004-12-08+06%3A00%3A00&maxdate=2004-12-09+07%3A00%3A00&cvsroot=%2Fcvsroot Maybe bug 272471 has got something to do with it?

(In reply to comment #1) > Sorry, i missed the name of the dll ;) > js3250.dll > Indeed the bug went away (for me) after I replaced this dll with the one from the 20041208 build (1208 wfm, 1209 & 1210 lock and crash, 1211 -> 1215 lock)

This testcase is derived from: http://www.rfimusique.com/siteFr/Player/player.aspx?inc=player_2014.inc which also shows this bug. Basically, the code that causes this bug is this: <body onunload="hsi=screen.width;">

As Coldfusion wrote in Peter(6)'s 20050108 thread, the bug is not present in the 20040107 buid (same for me) Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20050107 Firefox/1.0+

I don't know if this is the same issue, but I'm seeing a locked tab and crash the last 2 nights with the OSX build and captured the code from one page that spawns a locked tab, so here it is: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20050108 Firefox/1.0+ (This was hidden on an outdated PDA/Palm page I came across, on which all the info was over a year old --seems abandoned? But the same freeze of a single tab and crash is happening a lot with many pages as of the last few nights) href="http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/ad-network/" />ad_network.php file needs updating</a>

Well, comment 8 still mentions the problem. Maybe someone with a Mac OS X can recheck this with the latest nightly trunk build? By the way, I saw the bug in the 2005-01-06 build, but not anymore in the 2005-01-07 build.

then someone needs to change it from a windows xp bug to a macosx bug.

Now, I've seen this bug happening here, using a 2005-01-11 build (windows). http://tennis.quickfound.net/wta_results_2005/sydney_canberra_hobart_results_2005_index.html It doesn't happen sometimes, not all the time.

i cant open new tabs sometimes google.com searches - sometimes opening tabs works sometimes the tabs dont open at all - middle click/ control click/ right click it will not open a new tab from that page (tab bar isnt locked but new tabs just wont open and if i reload the page then it works fine). totally randomly i dont know exact steps to reproduce it (so i dont know how to file a bug can someone help me?) It also happens on other sites. Build: latest trunk 17 Jan 2005 OS: Linux i686 I am posting it here because i think it could be related to this bug.

I wasn't able to reproduce this bug using: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8b) Gecko/20050117 Firefox/1.0+ (checked with the url from comment 0)

fine then, instead of being marked as a macosx bug, it should be marked resolved/worksforme.

Just confirmed WFM on 01-20-2005 trunk build. So if this works for both Windows and MacOS X users, can this bug be resolved?
Comment 23•20 years ago

Ok, marking Worksforme. I too haven't seen this bug since quite some time now. And also not anymore with the url in comment 16 (and I tried many times). If someone can reproduce this still with a trunk build, though, then please reopen.

"Since the update Firefox to version 61.0.2 (64-bit). It often doesn't load the contents of a new tab. The URL https://minecraftapkmod.net/download/ is displayed at the top, but the page does not load." While Firefox is gaining more and more popularity around the world, there are many people who complain that Firefox frequently fails to load pages on Window 10/8/7 and Mac 10.9/10.10/10.11/10.12/10.13. Also, some of them say that Firefox not loading pages issue appears after finishing an update. Is there any perfect solution for this issue? Thanks

Hi,
There is nothing for an admin to do for you to be able to set it up. You would just need to select Quizzes>Locked forms once it's available.
Some accessibility options will still be available to students, but if a student tries to open a new tab or window or exits the quiz, you will receive and email. As a reminder, this works only on managed devices. Here's a link https://bestgamingbeasts.com/white-gaming-mouse/ to the Help Center article.
Thank you
