I have been unable to paste previously copied pictures when composing e-mails in
HotMail or web based Earthlink mail.
This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.

The latest beta releases can be obtained from:
Firefox: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/
Thunderbird: http://www.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird/releases/1.5beta1.html
Seamonkey: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/seamonkey/
I tried this again and it's still a problem with v1.0.7.
If I right click on a graphic, speciifically an editorial cartoon, and click to
copy it, when I go to my gmail account I do not get an option to paste the
cartoon into the body of an e-mail. This happens both with Firefox and Netscape
in the Firefox mode, but not with Internet Explorer, in which pasting the image
works just fine. I suggest that you try doing the same thing and see if you
can. If it works for you, then I guess it's a quirk with my computer.
Sorry my english, I speak spanish
When I paste an image in the body of the e-mail, the image is the temporary
file, not the real image from Internet
Ejemplo:
http://www.mozilla.org/images/firefox-1.5-beta1.png
If Copy the image, when I paste in the body mail this is the result, in the
property dialog box of the image:

file:///C:/DOCUME~1/USUARIO/CONFIG~1/TEMP/moz-screenshot.jpg (not the URL)
or
file:///C:/DOCUME~1/USUARIO/CONFIG~1/TEMP/moz-screenshot-1.jpg

This happens in Gmail with Rich Text enabled, or when I use the extension
eWebmail 2.14 in hotmail, yahoo, or any supported mail.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; es-AR; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050919
Firefox/1.0.7
Not only graphics, was unable to paste text while composing gmail. Instead of
the "Undo, Cut, Copy, Paste..." prompts with a right click, I get "Back,
Forward, Reload,Stop, Bookmark..." prompts, as if I was not on an interactive page.

This continues happening in Mozilla Firefox 1.5 Beta 2

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8b5) Gecko/20051006
Firefox/1.4.1
I still show the problem of not being able to past graphics using version 1.5.0.9 (20061207)

This is a major pain for me as I often like to embed images in an email. I would think that more people would find this annoying.

Does paste into hotmail work for you with IE??

Paste image into IE doesn't work for me - allows image drop but it sends only the URL.
strikes me the problem is with yahoo's UI.
