274997 - Frequent "Cannot find Page" errors with known and working links

Frequently, I'm getting "Cannot find page" errors when accessing sites.
Typically it is when a new window is opened, either the first window or a
subsequent window that is opened. Although this does occur at any time. I will
click a link or enter an address, minimal network activity will occur, and even
if the process is cancelled, trying again will not work until the window for
"Cannot find http://..." [OK] appears. Clicking okay, and retrying the link or
address brings the page up immediately. FireFox will simply sit there with
"Looking for http://..." on the info in the lower left corner. I have performed
a DNS flush thinking that was the source of the problem to no avail.
