1) Go to any webpage which has HTML form.
2) Fill in the contents of the form (example fill in user name and password on
mail.yahoo.com).
3) Select whole of the page by menu option Edit->Select All. (or Ctrl-A)
4) Copy the contents by Edit->Copy (or Ctrl-C)
5) Go to a editor such as Windows Word
6) Paste the contenets by Edit->Paste (or Ctrl-V)
7) The contents of the form elemtns such as text box does not get copied to the
editor.
8) This workes fine when tested with Internet Explorer
I was with you up until step 8: Internet Explorer, just like every other browser
I have around to test, doesn't actually copy the form field contents for me. It
does highlight over the textboxes, making it look like it will, unlike every
other browser, but what I paste into another program only contains

Yahoo! ID:
Password:

not any textbox contents.
Looks like it is a Microsoft thingie.

When I copy from Internet Explorer and paste it in either Windows Word or
Outlook compose mail windows *it copies the contents of the text box* too. But
if I paste it in either gvim or PSPad (Editors) it does not copy the contents of
textbox.

Something to do with how the receiving application decodes the paste contents?
As well as something to do with how the source application allows the elemetns
to be copied?

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
