User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040910 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040910 Mozilla is not compatible with Windows XP's "Send Pictures via E-Mail" feature. The problem occurs only when you select "Make my pictures smaller" - i.e. when you are not sending the original files. The compose window fails to appear if you are trying to again same pictures that you have successfully sent earlier. To avoid the problem, you must clear the temp\moz_mapi folder every time before trying to send any downsized pictures. (The downsized pictures are left there after successful sending.) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Optionally disable Quick Launch (this just to see how the Navigator opens while you are sending the email - Quick Launch does not affect the core problem) 2. Select some pictures in Windows Explorer and select Windows XP's 'E-mail this file' function. WinXP's 'Send Pictures via E-mail' dialog pops up. 3. Select 'Make my pictures smaller' and click OK. 4. Mozilla Compose message windows opens with the attached files. (If the Quick Launch was not active, also a Navigator window opens and hides the Compose window.) 5. Send the email, do not just close the Compose window. 6. Note that the downsized files are left in temp\moz_mapi. 7. Select SAME pictures in Windows Explorer and select Windows XP's 'E-mail this file' function to send them again. 8. Select 'Make my pictures smaller' and click OK. 9. Note that nothing happens. (If the Quick Launch was not active, Navigator opens as in step 4, but no Compose window appears.) 10. Delete files in temp\moz_mapi and retry. Compose window appears successfully. Expected Results: I - Mozilla should delete the temporary files from temp\moz_mapi after successful sending of the message. Currently it deletes the files only if the Compose window is closed WITHOUT sending the message. II - If temp\moz_mapi contains files whose names match to the files to be sent, Mozilla should overwrite them and continue opening the Compose window, not fail silently. III - Navigator should not be opened when sending email (if Quick Launch is disabled).

Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter.
