Details
Some command line options are missing (or not working). Of particular note: -noraise Related: Please do not substitute problematic environmental variables, like MOZ_NO_REMOTE, for useful command line options.

-noraise is a UNIX commandline switch, but this is reported using Windows NT.

Mike and Ben's comments seem to imply that Windows users do not deserve access to useful command-line switches. A justification of this position would be helpful. Or alternatively: please explain how to get equivalent behavior under Windows without such a switch.

If you want a new feature, you'll have to code it: it's not easy.

I will not change the assignment, but since I am a user (not a programmer), I do not know what it will mean... Comment: K-Meleon apparently handles this with a user preference, which wd be adequate. Comment: I would think that every user who uses FireFox to handle URLs for an email client would be interested in this feature: otherwise it is back and forth all the time. So I assume demand is high (among users).

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter. OK, I will not reopen this bug since interest seems low. (I guess Windows users aren't used to command line switches.) But can ANYONE tell me how to open a link in FireFox without giving focus to FireFox (in Windows). Surely this is a desirable feature, however it is to be achieved.
