While you browse the web and want to browse a previously saved page on your HD,
a new tab is open but an Alert pop-ups to say that the file cannot be found.
I'm not sure, but this issue has something to do with
bug 263570 ?
Could you be more specific?
Maybe. I have found that the problem appears when the .htm or the .html file is
located on the desktop.
The desktop in windows is located on "Documents and settings/user/desktop" but
the empty spaces are replaces by "%20" when Firefox goes to load the page.
So, to sum up: When Firefox is active and you are going to load a page located
under a folder with black spaces, the html file is not found.
I've tried opening a html file that has spaces in the filename and that is
located on the desktop and it works properly for me. The build is Mozilla/5.0
(Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20041218 Firefox/1.0+ (stipe)
I have uninstalled Firefox 1.0 and installed the latest nightly. I have the same
problem and more, just after the installation two more errors, so I'm back to 1.0,

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; es-ES; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041108 Firefox/1.0

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a

reproduction information if you have it.

changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
