When I type forums.openbb.com into the status bar the icon on the tab makes the
usual swirling circle thing to show its getting the page, and the status bar
says connecting to forums..... then goes to waiting for forums.... then finally
saying done. However, the contents of the tab remain whatever they were
previously, i.e. say I am viewing microsoft.com then I type forums.openbb.com it
will make all the usual things to say it is loading the page and then say done,
but I still see microsoft.com in my browser window. This works fine if I use IE.

Additionally forums.openbb.com is not the only website this happens.

Some others:

http://forums.openbb.com
http://www.warwickmountains.co.uk/
http://www.phpmyadmin.net/phpMyAdmin/ (in fact any phpmyadmin install does not
work for me, it displays the frameset but does not load the actual frames,
www.phpmyadmin.net/ does display correctly which would indicate it is not
something to do with the server itself)

+ many others that I can't rememebr at this time!

Another point to raise, with websites that have icons (favourite icons) and show
this problem (e.g. the 2nd one in the list above), the favourite icon IS
displayed and loaded correctly on the tab bar, but still no website displayed.

I have submitted a bug about this before (can't find it on the search) and it
got dismissed with everyone saying it did not happen for them. Well it happens
for me which would indicate that there IS a problem with firefox under my system
config and such should be looked at for FF to be as wide spread as we would all
like it to be. I have put this as major as in my opinion it is fairly major
that I have to open IE on multiple occasions throughout the day in order to
display certain sites.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Type http://forums.openbb.com into the URL bar and hit go/return
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Website did not display, explained exactly how it did not in the description

Expected Results:
Display the website correctly!

I am using windows xp tablet edition if that makes a difference.

<https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?emailreporter1=1&emailtype1=exact&email1=tingle%40virtuanews.co.uk>
may help with that. Don't file duplicates on purpose, or else.

> got dismissed with everyone saying it did not happen for them. Well it

worksforme linux firefox trunk and 1.0 as well, fwiw

You may want to mention that on the original bug report.
