In the above site, choose bookpage search, enter 600 for the book, 1 for the page. Click on the IMAGE button and a ODF should be displayed. Works fine under IE (!) but not under FireFox. Upgrade to the newest Adobe Reader, made it worse. I am using the <EMBED IMG=""> command to display a PDF file. It did work before I upgraded Acrobat, to 6.0, but it would open a new window. Now after upgrading to 6.0, it will not wrok at all. Thanks for your help. Steve

That URL is not responding. How about Adobe Reader 7 which just shipped?
I'm running both Acrobat 5.0 (write version) and Acrobat Reader 6.0 on WinXP. After a standard install of Firefox 1.0.2 it pretty much pegged the CPU and just sat there when opening a PDF. Going into options->downloads and redirecting Firefox from the plug-in it had as a default (sorry I forgot to make a note of the name) then pointing it directly to the Acrobat Reader 6.0 app for PDFs fixed the problem for me. Firefox now opens PDFs in Acrobat 5.0 unless I have Acrobat Reader 6.0 open prior to clicking on the link. I'm not sure what's up with that, but I can access PDFs via the browser again Norm

Steve and Jonathan - your reported Firefox version(s) are too old a build to analyze bugs against now. The problem you are reporting may well have been fixed already. Could you please download a recent version or nightly build from <http://www.mozilla.org/releases/nightly.html>, and then let us know if you still see this problem? Many thanks, Cigno
