The video clips at Comedy Central use the Media Player format. Up to a few
weeks ago, they played just fine. Now when I try to open, a Windows "Error
Report Form" appears and Mozilla crashes.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to Comedy Central
2. Click on a video from the "Videos" section.

Actual Results:
3. Separate window for viewing video appears. The words "connecting" appear.
4. Error report form comes up.
5. Mozilla crashes and disappears after cancelling error report.

Expected Results:
6. Video should have played.

Windows Media Videos work under Internet Explorer.

Seems to be working as of 1/3/2005. Perhaps the "premmercial" at the time was
causing the crash.

As of 1/11/2005, the bug has reappeared when I try to view videos on the Comedy
Central site.

Works for me using Mozilla 1.8a6 build 20050105 on Windows

Are you able to detail a video that is guaranteed to crash
Not today, sorry.

I'm running Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.3)
Gecko/20040910. I tried the Comedy Central site today (3/16/2005) and had no
problems.

I can only conclude that when Comedy Central changes the "premecials" and the
video clips, they sometimes introduce crash-causing code to the video startup
sequence. If crashing comes back (as it has in the past), I will report it again.

Thanks for taking a look at it.
The problem's back today (3/23/2005) on the www.comedycentral.com site. New
Premercial too!
