I have just installed Mozilla 1.7.  It has taken over viewing of jpeg files.
When I look in a pic folder all the jpeg icons have a Mozilla icon as part of them

The problem is that when I open a jpeg file it now appears in Mozilla as a large
image which does not fit into the open window. I can't see how to change the
size of the image.

I don't want Mozilla to be my jpeg viewer.  How can I change this?
The bug you see is already reported as bug 131106.
