Details
When using remote calendar and have the publish to remote server automatically option set, I find that updating a task does not result in the calendar being published. I have to manually publish the calendar for the change to be stored. Events works fine.

I can confirm this problem. In addition, if the calendar is not published remotely, upon next connection the tasks will all revert to their server-side state.

I reproduced the Bug on Windows XP, MacOS X using Sunbird RC 2 I also reproduced the Bug on Linux (Gentoo X86), Mac OS X using Mozilla Calendar 2005011112-cal Changing the completet percentage of a task, when task is already present is not updated to the remote calendar. Clicking the checkbox beside a task is not updated too. I use webdav to connect to my remote calendar. I have the option "Automatically publish changes to remote calendar enabled".
How are you updating the task? Just checking the checkbox? Does it work if you update via the edit task dialog? (If so, this sounds like a duplicate of bug 239779.)

Updating the task via the dialog works in Sunbird 0.2 released February, 4th ( tried that on Mac OS X and Windows ) Clicking the checkbox is still not updated on the remote calendar!
