Details

When I setup an IMAP account to NOT check the in regular intervalls for new 
emails, it still does so after I once checked the emails manually by clicking on 
the inbox of that account.

If I setup an account to not check for new emails by itself, I do not want it to 
connect to the server again without me starting the action.
Tools | Account Settings | <account> | Server Settings
Advanced
on the IMAP tab, turn off
 [] Use IDLE command if the server supports it.
