Details

ancestry.com census 1900, kentucky, ohio county. Needs plug-in "MrSID" to see
census page, Mozilla seems to try to get it but just sits there. It does not
lock up, I can back up and continuie to use the computer. I have, in the past
down loaded this plug in into netscape 4.7 and MSIE 6 but after my HD crashed
from up grading from MS I am now using firefox. One reason I have changed to
mozilla is I know that the up grade with MS did damage to my OS and caused me to
lose the HD. My computer locked up, crashed and kept dropping off line and I
found 57 trojans in it after. I am running 98se on a 3gig AMD and MS wants me
to up grade to XP, ...for a nominal fee of course.
So I am NOT going to do an upgrade with MS, because I don't want to have to
reformat the computer again. I am leaning towards "Lindows" the linux based OS.
