In most instances, I have to perform a force quit to quit FireFox.

Sometimes it will quit after a wait of several minutes.

I have trashed the prefs file and it didn't work.

I am unable to close Firefox if any windows are open. However, if I make sure
that every window is closed, quit works again, whether from the menu or Command-Q

In Reply: I just tried the closing windows bit and was able to quit firefox

This error appears in my javascript console after trying to quit with a window
open. There is one error for every quit attempt.

I've narrowed this down to a problem with the extension "Download StatusBar"

I have experienced this bug or one similar to it where Firefox won't quit when
command+q is pressed.  The only extension installed is the spellchecker SpellBound.
