When displaying quoted messages, the Classic skin uses unbalanced padding. The
left padding is 1em and the right is .5em.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Read a message with nested quoted messages
2. Check the unbalanced borders
3.

Actual Results:  
The left padding is 1em and the right is .5em.

Expected Results:  
The padding should be .5em for the left and the right padding

IMHO it's only a typo. The CSS concerned
(http://lxr.mozilla.org/mozilla/source/mail/base/skin/messageQuotes.css) has :
 21 blockquote[type=cite] {
 22   padding: 0em .5em .5em 1em !important;
instead of :
 21 blockquote[type=cite] {
 22   padding: 0em .5em 1em .5em !important;
