I'm using Firebird 1.0 final on winxp, and I have my download file location set (to d:\temp, on a volume with vast amounts of free space). I regularly (but not always) observe the following (esp, IIRC, with PDFs > 1 MB): I click on a link to a file of a type which I have set to download, e.g. PDF. Download Manager pops up and begins to download. The progress bar fills, and adjacent text claims "<size> of <size> at <rate>; 00:00 remain", but (see [d:\temp\allButFinishedDM.jpg]) * the progress bar remains in place: it is not replaced with "Done" * adjacent links remain "Cancel" and "Pause", not "Open" and "Remove" * the file is not found in the target dir (d:\temp) OTOH IIRC I never have this problem with files which non-optionally download, e.g. EXEs.
Comment #2 From tlroche 2004-12-27 20:01 PST > Note also that the download illustrated was via SSL. However I get the same behavior with "normal" PDFs. E.g. if I follow the link http://bill.dudney.net/roller/resources/bill/jsfwithmyfaces.pdf I get [d:\temp\allButFinishedDM2.jpg] and no download, but I can open (Cygwin) bash and do > bash-2.05b$ wget -O /d/download/JSFwithMyFaces.pdf http://bill.dudney.net/roller/resources/bill/jsfwithmyfaces.pdf > --17:16:02-- http://bill.dudney.net/roller/resources/bill/jsfwithmyfaces.pdf > => `/d/download/JSFwithMyFaces.pdf' > Resolving bill.dudney.net... 69.26.131.81 > Connecting to bill.dudney.net[69.26.131.81]:80... connected. > HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 200 > Length: 1,045,562 [application/pdf] > 100%[====================================================================================>] 1,045,562 21.06K/s ETA 00:00 > 17:16:50 (21.22 KB/s) - `/d/download/JSFwithMyFaces.pdf' saved [1045562/1045562]

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter.
