My mozilla's uptime is 8 days. I had some 7 days old content of that URL loaded in one tab. Then I loaded the new content of that URL in another tab. Then I switched to the tab with old content and saved it into file ("Save as", "Html only"). It saved the new content! I tried it several times, in "offline" mode, I even tried to use tcpdump to see whether mozilla is connecting the server. It was not. It seems that it used the new document from the cache. There was NO WAY how to save that old content. Very pitty.
(In reply to comment #0) > Then I loaded the new content of that URL in another tab. So you updated your cache for that document (specific URL). > It seems that it used the new document from the cache. Of course if the URL is the same.
"save as" does read from cache (unless you do "web page, complete"), and the cache entry was replaced by the new data. We have existing bugs on this.
