this behavior only shows under Linux; I tried Firebird on Windoze (same version)
and it worked.

Note: I set "browser.tabs.opentabfor.windowopen" to true

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. go to http://www.nxn-software.com/prod_alst_prto.php
2. click on one of the "start tour" buttons
Actual Results:  
the new window/tab opens correctly, but the contained viewlet won't start playing

Expected Results:  
start playing viewlet as it does under Windoze

I think we have to reopen this guy. Though the original URL is gone, I looked up
another viewlet on Google just to see that it won't work either.

I just started a demo on qarbon.com, and it worked fine with 
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051224 Debian/1.5.dfsg-3 Firefox/1.5
