In Thunderbird you can only open one contact card at a time. (In Outlook you can
open multiple cards.) It is a great advantage to be open loads of cards. Then
you can, for instance, try making a call to one contact, when that fails, leave
it open and go to another contact, etc.

The facility to open multiple cards would be great. Can it be added.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Address book
2. Double click a contact to open it.
3. Then do the same for another contact. 

Actual Results:  
A bleep, showing that the second contact cannot be opened when the first contact
is open.

Expected Results:  
Open the second contact - and subsequent ones.
