User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a5) Gecko/20041122 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20041220 I encountered strange layout problems in the vBulletin3 forum of 3DCenter.org (I'm a moderator there, so you can consider me a heavy user of the forum). Sometimes the user info areas with username, avatar, etc. of two postings overlap themselves (see the pictures I'll attach). But after a reload of the page or even just changing the zoom of the text the error vanishes and isn't reproducible anymore. I see such kind of errors from time to time since the first alphas of Mozilla 1.8 (can't remember seeing it with 1.7.x), but I was never able to reproduce it with the same two postings. Bruno Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to http://www.forum-3dcenter.org/vbulletin/ 2. Surf many hours 3. Probably see the problem Actual Results: If your lucky enough, you'll see the problem with the wrong layout. Expected Results: Always render the postings correctly at the first try. Some informations about my system: PIII 1GHz SIS630 onboard graphics (using 8MB of RAM) 256MB RAM Windows XP SP2 Pipelining is disabled and Keep-Alive is enabled.

Could it be somehow related to Bug 217527? https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=217527 Bruno

On this picture you can see another layout bug with vBulletin3. The user areas should have the same width, but they apparently don't have. After a reload, it looks like it should and there is no error. This bug could probably have the same reason like the bug originally reported from me. I have confirmations for this bug from other users using the following Mozilla-Versions: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.2; en-US; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040804 Netscape/7.2 (ax) Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; de-DE; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041108 Firefox/1.0 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de-DE; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041108 Firefox/1.0 For the people with knowledge in German, you can visit a thread concering this errors in the 3DCenter-Forum at http://www.forum-3dcenter.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=194970 Bruno

You can see another reflow bug, found in that forum at http://www.forum-3dcenter.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=196810&page=6&pp=20 Again it vanishes after resizing the text and again it was not reproducible for me. Bruno

(In reply to comment #7) > This needs a minimal reproducible testcase... I have seen this bug once again, but as before wasn't able to reproduce it. So I don't know where to start to search for a testcase. Perhaps the error occurs only because of an extension like Adblock, but without a reproducible testcase it's impossible to say. Bruno

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter.
